The Tavern Reviews
Pork sliders, delicious and fish sandwich really good too! Outdoor and indoor seating is nice.
Great Service, easy environment, delicious food. The bar staff are amazing, shoutout to Spencer!
Came here for a family dinner at 730 on a Wednesday night and immediately got a table. Definitely not as fancy as many of the other restaurants on the island but nice enough to dress up for. Ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer, which were large rounds and not super greasy/drenched in fry. The salmon burger was decent- the patty was huge and not greasy/oily at all. There was a bit too much aioli but no big deal, the side of broccoli was surprisingly delicious and a huge portion! However, the fish on the fish and chips was very heavily fried, on all three that were brought out. The fish on the fish wich was not as fried- it was an average fish burger. Otherwise, the staff was very attentive and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner! Would come again.
Came here on before we headed back to the Cape! Steph was great with recommending the Philly cheesesteak! Everything came out hot and fresh. Was flavorful and delicious! And of course had to get a glass of Prosecco and enjoy the view!
Overall experience was a solid 3.5, but I'm bumping it up to 4 since my Aperol Spritz was one of the better ones I've had. Plus service was pretty good! My sister and I wanted a casual dinner after treating ourselves during our recent trip, so we ended up dining at The Tavern. There were several seating options, but we went with upstairs (vs outside) since it was a little breezy out. My Spritz ($16) was well balanced and quite refreshing. They tend to be too syrupy sometimes, which is no bueno. But this one was tasty! I appreciate that they have veg-friendly menu options, although I needed something more substantial since I was going out that night. Sooo I went with the Fish and Chips ($24). The serving size was decent and the exterior was crispy, plus the food was hot. Now, I have had better fish and chips, but it was satisfying. As I mentioned before, service was good, and the prices are pretty "affordable" compared to most other options on the island.
